One large colony on the Sycamore Trail, and one on the far west side.
Flowers in late summer.

These
odd formations were discovered on several salt marsh specimens on April
27, 2001. Mrs. O'Bosky, a 3rd grade teacher from Rocky Hill School in Exeter,
spotted them while enjoying a field trip with her class. Our expert, Dennis
Haines, has identified them as case bearing moths. Inside the cigar
shaped structure is a caterpillar that feeds on the leaf surface.
