Stephanomeria, Stephanomeria virgata, native
- a dicot in the Asteraceae family -

A few specimens can be found west of the red bridge in sandy dry soil.
Summer blooming. Mature plant grows from 1' - 7' in height.
Leaves and stems are a light gray-green.
Flowers are lilac, being similar to chicory, but not blue.

Stephanomeria flowers bloom in July and August
The flowers are light pink to
soft lilac in color and 
almost transparent when
backlit by the sun.
