Flowers are "mustard yellow"

This specimen is growing in the path. Growth is 12-15" tall, leaf is 7" long.

This is a tiny sedge. Not alkali sedge. Flower is much longer.

Growing in dry sandy soils, flower is 1/4" in diameter.
